What did I do wrong?

I was looking over my blog stats this morning and noticed something. I lost a couple of followers, which rather disappointed me. So here I sit contemplating why they decided to no longer follow my blog and what can I do to bring them back.

I only have 90 followers, so losing a couple is a big deal to me. So I ask you, my loyal followers these questions:

1. Do I do too many memes?

2. Are my photos not interesting?

3. Does my blog lack content?

4. What exactly is wrong with my blog (be honest)?

Seriously, I wouldn't think anything of it. Nothing you did wrong. Could be that they were on info overload and pared down their subscriptions a bit. I do this a lot. :) *hugs*

I do things like that a lot too, it's usually because I follow too many things. My current Google Reader count is 522 different sources, and I keep adding new ones, so purging happens.
Remember also that lots of people, like me, follow blogs through their feed-readers. You'll never find me among your members, but I'm still reading. So, your missing members might be scaling down, or have started following in other ways or have left.
As far as I can see there's nothing wrong with your blog. I like your pictures and don't mind the memes as long as they're not the only things running. I'm not wild about the Blogspot-design (not any of them really), but as I rarely see it I really don't mind.
There are so many blogs in the world that we can't all have a huge number of readers. The thousands (or even hundreds) of followers are for the very few. If you want to be among them you probably need a different approach, but then it'll also turn into a job.
Best of luck from someone who quite enjoys your blog, and a bunch of other blogs :-)

Definitely not something you did, Antonette. Your photos are gorgeous and you certainly don't blog too often.
I've lost a few followers, too, but more come along to fill their places. Remember, people die, move, get married, find other hobbies...
Fret not. All is well.

Regarding followers, don't worry about them. Blog for yourself, and if you get followers, great, if not, that's fine too. As long as you are enjoying what you're doing! (Unless you're trying to make money from your blog, in which case it's all about getting followers and hits.)

Some people follow you in the hope that you'll follow them back. I certainly don't follow 90 or 200 blogs for that reason, so my numbers sometimes go down too.

Just like blogs, followers come and go. I wouldn't even worry about it. I will say that unless a person has a new and/or amazing concept that people flock to, it takes a lot of work to increase followers.
Anyway, I'm liking what I see here and you now are back up to 91...

I just happened to stumble in here, but still want to say: One thing I've noticed the last couple of years now: the numbers of bloggers that stop blogging is increasing -are you sure it wasn't the reason for those?
