Did that snake just shed his skin? Cool. My boys LOVE finding stuff like that (smaller, of course) when we go out on hikes. ;)

It took me a minute to realize the snake (or skin) was behind the glass. Was this taken in your home?

Happy WW!!!

Explanation of Photo:

It is a live snake, not a snake skin. The snake is an African Gaboon Viper. Nasty lil sucker, but quite impressive looking.

This photo was taken at Jacksonville Zoo back in Feb. 2006

Not a snake lover, but hubby's friend has a Python that is over 15 years old, over 10 ft and HUGE! This picture reminded me of Hank when he was about 3 years old. Happy WW.

Ya know it took me a bit to figure that one out. I think that means I need more java. Great pic!

He has beautiful markings. I had always thought of viper type snakes as being much thinner.

Great picture...even if I'm no snake lover.

My WW is up, too.

Thank you all for stopping by. The gaboon viper is fat and flat. This photo was taken at the Jacksonville zoo in florida. You have to look closely to see the head..it blends in with its surroundings quite well.
